At their December 10th school board meeting, the Snoqualmie Valley School District Board of Directors narrowed the list of community-nominated names for the district’s new elementary school currently under construction at the corner of Snoqualmie Parkway and Swenson Drive. The school currently referred to as “elementary #6” opens in September 2016.
The district took name nominations from November 9th – December 9th and 14 names made the narrowed list:
- Cedar Ridge Elementary
- Eagle Pointe Elementary
- Elk View Elementary
- Falls Elementary
- Little Si Elementary
- Meadowbrook Elementary
- Misty Falls Elementary
- Moon Hill Elementary
- Mountain Ridge Elementary
- Silent Creek Elementary
- Snoqualmie Falls Elementary
- Snoqualmie Ridge Elementary
- Timber Ridge Elementary
- Windy Ridge Elementary
The district has opened another online survey to gather feedback on the fourteen top contender names, which closes on January 6, 2016. You can participate HERE.
The school board will considered these comments and narrow the list further from January 14th-25th, with another online survey opening, and then announce their name choice for elementary #6 on January 28th.
