Fall into the autumn season with a variety of fun train adventures at the Northwest Railway Museum in Snoqualmie.
First up, step back in time as you ride the rails aboard the Museum’s steam train powered by steam locomotive Northern Pacific 924 on the weekend of October 2-3 and on November 6-7.
Enjoy a steam train ride through the scenic upper Snoqualmie Valley! Begin your 2-hour, round trip experience at either the North Bend Depot or the historic Snoqualmie Depot where you’ll climb aboard historic passenger cars to begin your journey.
All excursions travel west to the top of Snoqualmie Falls, pausing at the crest for a view of the lower river valley and include a 30-minute stopover to visit the Train Shed Exhibit Hall.
Secondly, enjoy the 2021 Halloween season with a Halloween Train excursion on the weekends of October 16-17, 23-24, and 30-31. Your hauntingly good time includes a decorated train excursion while you sit back to enjoy the changing autumn colors on a fall train ride through the scenic upper Snoqualmie Valley!
Begin your 2-hour, round trip experience at either the historic Snoqualmie Depot or the North Bend Depot where you board the Museum’s historic coaches and travel to enjoy the breathtaking view from the top of Snoqualmie Falls to the river valley below.
Halloween Train excursions include a stop at the Train Shed Exhibit Hall with family-friendly Halloween storytelling. Costumes are encouraged, and all children arriving in costume will receive a small prize!
For those who want to fall in love with trains of all sizes, but don’t have time for a train ride, the Train Shed Exhibit Hall, located at the Museum’s Railway History Campus is open as well on Thursdays through Monday from 11 am – 4 pm.
Finally, get ready for the Yuletide season with two different options this holiday season with either the Yuletide Express and Santa Limited rail excursions. Join Santa and his elves on November 27- 28, December 4-5, 11-12, 18-19, 2021 for the Yuletide Express!
Your 25-minute holiday excursion begins at the historic Snoqualmie Depot. Board seasonally decorated, antique coaches, and travel west to Snoqualmie Falls, pausing briefly at the crest for a view of the river valley before returning to Snoqualmie. Each child receives a small gift from Santa.
Or, join Santa and his elves on December 11-12, 18-19, 2021 for Santa Limited. Your 2-hour holiday excursion begins at the North Bend Depot. Board in North Bend and ride to the Railway History Campus, where Santa greets each child with a small gift. Come inside seasonally decorated Train Shed Exhibit Hall.

- To ensure a safe experience, limited capacity and social distancing of seating on the train along with frequent cleanings will be performed. All visitors 2 years of age and older are asked to wear masks, and pursuant to state law, masks are required for all visitors 5 years and older. Beginning October 25th all visitors age 12 years and older must show proof of vaccination to visit the Museum and/or ride the train.
