It’s been a month since the Snoqualmie Ridge IGA hauled in a meat smoking trailer behind a truck to test out the community’s response to on-site, fresh-smoked meats.
Apparently it was a success because that portable smoker is heading back to Snoqualmie starting tomorrow. One checker said the store sold 600 pounds of meat at the July event and many of you gave great meat reviews.
The second Hometown Smoke Event starts tomorrow, August 2nd, and runs through Saturday, August 4th., from 12PM – 6PM. The weather is even cooperating with a perfect BBQ forecast – sunny and mid-80’s.
Just like last time, the IGA Meat Department will be offering smoked whole chicken, baby back ribs and brisket. Prices run $8.99 – $9.99. Look for the trailer in front of the store’s north entrance door.
Oh, the store is also showing some appreciation for its youngest customers today, August 1st, by giving away free ice cream during its Kids Fest event.
