Do you love books? How about your kids? If so, tomorrow brings an opportunity to meet the author of the very successful Orphan Train,which was released in April 2013.
As a free program sponsored through a collaboration between the King County Library System, Valley Center Stage and 
the Snoqualmie Valley Historical Museum, Christina Baker Kline, Orphan Train author, sits down to talk about her latest novel at Valley Center Stage in North Bend, Friday, February 28, 2014.
Orphan Train tells the story of train rider, Vivian. Orphan trains, a sometimes forgotten part of American history, ran from 1854 and 1929 between East Coast cities and Midwest farms, carrying thousands of abandoned children whose future lives were determined by pure luck upon arrival.
“Would they be adopted by a kind and loving family, or would they face a childhood and adolescence of hard labor and servitude? Moving between contemporary Maine and Depression-era Minnesota, this is a powerful tale of upheaval and resilience, second chances, and unexpected friendship.”
Books will be available for purchase and a book signing with Christina Baker Kline will follow the program.
