A new restaurant has taken the place of Rose’s Deli on Snoqualmie Ridge – right next to the UPS Store on Center Blvd – called Ridge Cupbop and Ramen. The restaurant change also includes a reworked interior space like paint color, etc.
The new owner, JungWon Whang, has introduced herself to the community via social media, saying she enjoys cooking fresh and nutritious meals and is excited offer traditional breakfasts in addition to Korean-style lunches with fresh vegetables, cooked meats, and spicy sauce (gochujang) atop a bowl of steamed rice – more commonly known as “bibimbop”.
Cooking runs in the family, too. JungWon’s sister operates popular Happy Teriyaki across from the Snoqualmie Fire Station on Better Way.
Ridge Cupbop and Ramen is waiting for a new kitchen grill hood to be installed in order to start serving ramen and Korean fried chicken. Once that happens – they’ve had contractor delays this month – they will be offering up ramen and Korean dishes like pajeon (seafood pancake), makkeolli (Korean rice beer) and fried chicken with beer (chimek).
As soon as that hood is installed, Ridge Cupbob and Ramen will be holding a grand opening. We’ll keep you posted when the big event draws near!
