Business Comings | Pike Place Market Butcher Opens in Snoqualmie; Maverick Brings Texas BBQ to Railroad Ave

Meat lovers take note. Over the past few months a couple of new businesses have set up shop in downtown Snoqualmie, which might have your barbecue needs covered… whether you want it prepared or want to cook it yourself.

According to gourmetcookingmagazine.com, earlier this year the owners of Mo Barbecue sold their Railroad Ave establishment to Pat and Sharon Patton, who renamed the restaurant Maverick Barbecue. The couple has over 40 years of experience in the barbecue business, including previously running five successful restaurants.

The Pattons phased in some changes at Mo’s, including a new smoker out front and new menu items.  According to Facebook reviews, their take on authentic Texas barbecue is being well-received by patrons.

Then in July another new neighbor entered the business scene in downtown Snoqualmie – BB Ranch Butcher from Pike Place Market, which set up shop inside the Snoqualmie Market – right between the Bindlestick and Maverick BBQ.  This is the fourth location for BB Ranch.

Direct from Pike Street to Railroad Ave comes locally sourced, farm-raised meat and game, dry-aged beef, house-cured bacon, handcrafted sausage – and eggs and chicken raised right in the Snoqualmie Valley.

Plans are in the works for delivery to Snoqualmie Ridge and special orders are also available through the BB Ranch website or via email.  They also do “Ranch to Plate” Catering and Corporate Ranch Dinners.

If you’re interested in sampling some of BB Ranch Butcher’s items, the owners will be doing a cooking demonstration at nearby Sigillo Cellars as part of a winery tasting event on August 19th.
