Business Comings: Snoqualmie Family brings Coffee Stand Back to Life after almost a Decade sitting empty

The coffee stand near Meadowbrook Way on Railroad Ave has been sitting empty, and the lot growing weeds, for about nine years now, BUT it appears a local resident is finally bringing the small, deserted walk-up and drive-thru coffee joint back to life.

Snoqualmie resident Maggie Kelley, is bringing Brewed Awakening to the Snoqualmie Valley – and probably in just a couple of weeks…depending on the timing of needed permits. This will be the second location for the company – with the original stand located in Issaquah on East Lake Samammish Parkway near Home Depot.

It’s been a quite the  family affair preparing the second Brewed Awakening for opening, too. Even Maggie’s young son has been enlisted to help. Fresh paint is up inside and outside and weeds have been trimmed in anticipation of a [hopeful] August opening – and right in time for the start of a new school year at nearby Mount Si High School.

The stand will feature Martin Henry coffee, a local family roaster out of Puyallup who delivers freshly roasted coffee beans weekly, and offer espresso, drip coffee, cold brew, white coffee, breakfast sandwiches, breakfast burritos, pastries, Wicked Witches sandwiches, Steve’s Doughnuts, hot dogs, ice cream, and daily drink creations, too.

There will be student and teacher discounts – just show that ASB card and teacher ID – and patrons can fill punch cards where the 10th drink is on the house. You can also call your order in ahead of time so you can just drive-thru and be out with your drink.
