It’s official. King County Elections week is over, which mean we now know who has decided to run for North Bend, Snoqualmie city council and mayor, school board and other special district seats.
In North Bend things started out slow, but once it was announced two councilmembers would not seek re-election, candidates began filing and by Friday it became clear two open seats would need summer primaries to dwindle races down to two candidates.
No one chose to challenge North Bend Council incumbents Brandon Elwood, Chris Garcia and Jonathon Rossen so they will run unopposed. Also, longtime school board member Dan Popp is not seeking re-election and only one person – Ram Dutt Vedullapalli – filed to run for his open seat.
Here’s who has filed. Listed are races that have 2 candidate or more:
- North Bend Mayor: Travis Bridgman, Rob McFarland and Rich Wiltshire
- North Bend Council Position 3: Heather Koellen, Olivia Moe
- North Bend Council Position 7: Darren, Glazier, Mary Miller, Kristin Tetuán
- Snoqualmie Council Position 2: Elaine Armstrong, Katherine Ross, Anna Sotelo
- Snoqualmie Council Position 4: Fuzzy Fletcher, James Mayhew
- Snoqualmie Council Position 6: William Donaldson, Sean Sundwall
- Snoqualmie Valley School District Position 2: Geoff Doy, Linda Hamm Grez
- Snoqualmie Valley School District Position 3: Chelsea Rivas, Carolyn Simpson
- King County Fire District 27 (Fall City): Brandon Bothwell, Eric Hollis
- Public Hospital District 4, Commissioner Position 2: Tim Noonan, Darriel Norris, Gene Pollard
- Si View Metropolitan Park District, Commissioner Position 1: Catherine Fredenburg, Kayla Noonan
- Si View Metropolitan Park District, Commissioner Position 2: Mark Correira, Katie Klahn
The summer primary for the North Bend mayor and council seat 7, along with Snoqualmie council seat 2 and hospital district position 2 will happen on August 6th. The rest of the races will be decided in the November 5th general election.
