Sadly, the Washington State Patrol announced this afternoon that a 29-year old Seattle man died this morning, April 20, 2013, in a one car accident near I-90 exit 22. Medical aid, fire assistance and Washington State Troopers all responded to the scene around 8:40AM.
Police said the silver 2001 Toyota Celica was traveling westbound on I-90 and approaching Preston exit 22 when it left the roadway and landed on its top at the intersection of Highpoint Way and SE 79th, partial blocking the on-ramp.
The driver died at the scene. The cause of the crash is under investigation. It’s unknown at this time if drugs or alcohol played a role in the fatal accident.
