Big things are happening in downtown Snoqualmie.
So the Snoqualmie Valley Chamber of Commerce is hosting a DUAL ribbon cutting ceremony during its Jazz and Wine community event welcoming TWO new business to the historic core – Sigillo Cellars and Ray’s Dining Car – and to support the Mount Si High School Jazz Band. The event happens Thursday, May 29, 2014, from 5:30PM – 8:30PM.
There will be wine, food and music from the award-winning Mount Si Jazz Band at this unique Chamber event, with a portion of the proceeds helping support the MSHS Jazz Band’s recent trip to New York City where it performed in the Essentially Ellington competition. Mount Si was one of 15 jazz bands from across the country selected for the prestigious competition.

Ray’s Dining Car Opens Thursday, May 22nd
Ray’s Dining Car is just about ready to open its doors after working for three months to change the former La Fogata Mexican Restaurant into an eclectic, comfort food diner modeled after a railroad car.
This is the third restaurant for the husband and wife team of Ray and Keri Fisher. They sold their first successful restaurant in the Pittsburgh area and also own another restaurant in Tallahassee.
Ray says he hopes the new Snoqualmie establishment will turn out just as successful and thinks the community will love all of Keri’s homemade menu items – and the new full bar he built in the back of the restaurant.
Ray’s Dining Car is scheduled to open Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 11AM.It is located at 8072 Railroad Ave.
Ray’s formal, grand opening will happen during the May 29th Snoqualmie Valley Chamber of Commerce event.

Wonder if the city will move the taco truck in front of the bbq joint. huge failure by the city to allow that so close to businesses.
