If you’ve driven Snoqualmie Parkway in the past week, you’ve probably noticed trees coming down at the entrance to the Deer Park neighborhood. But not all the trees on this land parcel have disappeared. There is still a buffer along Snoqualmie Parkway and the homes adjacent it on Bybee CT.
The trees are coming down as the grading process for the new location of Morning Star Montessori begins. The school is tentatively scheduled to open at the corner of Snoqualmie Parkway and SE Swenson Drive in January 2013. The school currently operates out of a home in the Heights neighborhood on Snoqualmie Ridge.
Owner, Madhuri Susarla, says their success over the past three years has led to this point – the big expansion move into a new building, which enables the school to serve more Snoqualmie families.
Morning Star’s new school at 34605 SE Swenson Drive, will be a 4,600 square foot, single story building with three classrooms. The school’s site will have a covered play area with play equipment and a large playground. Families will enter the school from Swenson Drive and be able to drop students at a covered drop-off area in front of the school. The site will also house approximately 25 parking spots.
Morning Star Montessori enrolls kids from 2 1/2 to 6 years old. They offer half-day and full-day programs as well as kindergarten enrichment for Snoqualmie Valley half-day kindergarten students.
