Eastside Fire crews responded to Rattlesnake Lake in North Bend around 4:30PM, Monday, August 12, 2019 to search for a reported missing swimmer.
According to King County Sheriff’s Office (KCCSO) Sgt. Eric White, the initial call was from someone at the lake who reportedly saw a swimmer and then approximately three to four minutes later – when they turned back around – the swimmer was gone.
Sgt. White said crews were continuing to search Rattlesnake Lake as of 6PM, but they did not have anything to report, nor do they know for certain that a swimmer was missing.
He explained that no one had been reported missing at the lake nor were there any unattended vehicles.
Emergency crews also deployed a drone to aid in the search and according to Eastside Fire and Rescue, sonar was utilized.
KCSO rescue swimmers and crews continued to search Rattlesnake Monday night, but nothing was found.
KCSO said they would an update if there was anything new to report.
