According to the Washington State Patrol (WSP), at approximately 7:41 am on Friday, April 28th, there was a one-car fatality collision on I-90 near Tinkham Road (MP 42).
A 2005 Ford Focus was driving westbound, approaching Tinkham Road in an unknown lane, when it veered to the right, overcorrected to the left and struck the overpass column.

The car came to rest in the median, completely engulfed in flames. The driver was deceased at the scene, and the roadway was blocked for 3 hours and 14 minutes.
It is unknown if drugs or alcohol were involved. The driver of the car has not yet been identified.
