May 23rd
At around 3:15PM, Snoqualmie Firefighters responded to a residential fire alarm. When the unit arrived, smoke alarms were going off but there was no smoke or fire. The crews discovered three faulty detectors and advised the homeowner that they were too old and need to be replaced.
At around 4:10PM, Snoqualmie Firefighters and numerous other units were dispatched to a report of a hay truck on westbound I-90 that was on fire. Firefighters observed that the truck had dropped ten bales of hay that were on fire over approximately one mile. Snoqualmie firefighters were assigned to extinguish the hay truck while other units took care of the burning bales that had been dropped. The cause of fire could not be determined.
At around 7:30PM, Snoqualmie Firefighters became aware of a motor vehicle accident while scanning emergency radio frequencies. Firefighters arrived to Mill Pond Road to find that a car had collided with a pole. The driver was in her seat when they arrived. Crews approached the driver as she got out and asked if she was hurt. She was very emotional, yelling, and appeared to be drunk. The crews assessed that the driver was not injured, and the scene was turned over to the Snoqualmie Police Department.
May 26th
At around 10:20AM, Snoqualmie Firefighters were dispatched to a fire alarm sounding at the Woodlands Townhomes. Multiple callers reported the alarm, however everyone said that there were no signs of a fire. The unit arrived to find the alarm still sounding with residents standing outside. There were no signs of fire from the exterior. One resident met the fire department and advised them that his daughter had pulled the fire alarm inside their unit and there was no fire. Firefighters reset the alarm and the
property manager was notified.
May 27th
At around 6:20PM, Snoqualmie Firefighters assisted other units with a multi-car accident on I-90. The accident was caused by a van fleeing from police, driving the wrong way on the freeway. Two patients were extricated from damaged vehicles, and four patients total were transported to Harborview Medical Center.
May 31st
At around 1:10AM, Snoqualmie Firefighters responded to a fire alarm at the Echo Ridge apartments. The alarm was older and malfunctioning. The residents were advised to request that their apartment manager purchase a new one.
At around 2:50PM, Snoqualmie Firefighters assisted other units with a reported rolled over semi-truck at the on ramp to westbound I-90 from Truck Town in North Bend. Firefighters assisted with spilled fuel and securing the vehicle. Other units took care of the driver. There was no additional exposure reported, as the truck was hauling food grade commodities. The scene was turned over to Washington State Patrol.
At around 10:40PM, Snoqualmie Firefighters responded to a reported illegal trash fire in the east rural area of North Bend. The caller wished to remain anonymous but wanted to report that a neighbor was burning trash. Firefighters drove through the area and located a small, natural material fire that was attended. The fire was legal and there was no burn ban. There were no signs of trash. Firefighters cleared the scene with no contact.
June 1st
At around 9:05PM, Snoqualmie Firefighters dispatched to a reported car vs. motorcycle accident, with the rider still down in front of City Hall. The crew arrived, established command, and began triage of the patient. The motorcycle rider had an obvious right ankle fracture and other associated cuts and scrapes from falling. The occupants of the car were uninjured. The patient was transported to Overlake Hospital Medical Center.
June 2nd
At around 7:45PM, Snoqualmie Firefighters were dispatched for a residential fire alarm. They saw no signs of fire upon arrival. The crew contacted the resident who said he had no idea what set if off but there was no problem at the house. The alarm was reset.
June 3rd
At around 6:20AM, Snoqualmie Firefighters responded to a cardiac arrest call in North Bend. The units arrived to find the patient deceased. The family requested no resuscitation efforts. The scene was left in the care of the King County Sheriff’s Office.
At around 4:00PM, Snoqualmie Firefighters were dispatched to the Pickering Court SE area to assist police officers in transferring a patient to a third-party ambulance service for an involuntary commitmen
