October 26th
At around 9:00AM Snoqualmie Firefighters were dispatched to a vacant house with a reported active smoke detector sounding. The unit arrived to find that the house appeared to have squatters, with windows and doors open. The smoke detector battery was weak, causing the alarm to chirp. Firefighters replaced the battery and notified Snoqualmie Police of possible squatters.

October 28th
At around 10:20PM, Snoqualmie Firefighters responded to a residential fire alarm. The homeowner advised the firefighters that he was changing the batteries when one of the detectors activated and he was unable to reset it. The unit discovered that one smoke detector had malfunctioned causing the issue. There were no signs of fire or CO throughout the house. Firefighters advised the homeowner to replace the detector.

October 30th
At around 1:15PM, Snoqualmie Firefighters were dispatched for an activated fire alarm in a Ridge commercial building. The alarm had been set off by someone pulling an alarm station. There was no smoke or fire found and the station and alarm were reset.

October 31st
At around 7:25PM, Snoqualmie Firefighters responded to a residential fire alarm. The unit discovered the smoke alarm was set off by a smoke machine.

November 2nd
At around 12:45AM, Snoqualmie Firefighters assisted another Eastside unit with a single-vehicle car accident on I-90 at exit 38. The unit transported one patient to Swedish Hospital in Issaquah.

November 3rd
At around 1:25PM, Snoqualmie Firefighters responded to a fire alarm at the Salish Lodge. Upon arrival, the crews were met by management who explained that there was no fire, that it was a problem with the kitchen hood system and they had an engineer working on it. The system was reset and management was left with instructions.

November 5th
At around 9:25PM, Snoqualmie Firefighters were dispatched for an activated fire alarm at Mt. Si High School. The alarm was set off by a bad detector in the gym. The detector was removed and the alarm was reset.

November 8th
At around 1:50AM, Snoqualmie Firefighters were dispatched to a residential fire alarm. The crews determined that the alarm was activated due to low batteries. They replaced the batteries and reset the alarm.
At around 10:15PM, Snoqualmie Firefighters responded to a CO alarm going off in a residence. The homeowner was having issues with his heating system. The windows were opened, the house was cleared, and firefighters told the family to stay somewhere else for the night since there would be no heat in the house until the furnace could be serviced.

November 9th
At around 8:35AM, Snoqualmie Firefighters assisted a patient who had fallen and couldn’t get up from the floor. The patient denied any injuries and refused medical care.
At around 5:05PM, Snoqualmie Firefighters assisted another Eastside unit with a single- vehicle accident on Preston-Fall City Road. Firefighters provided a patient with transportation to the nearest medical unit.

November 10th
At around 5:40AM, Snoqualmie Fire Engine E281, along with one Snoqualmie firefighter and three Eastside firefighters, were deployed to the wildfires in California as part of a King County Strike Team. The crew expected to be gone for 14 days. Snoqualmie engine E282 was placed in service to cover calls during this timeframe.
At around 7:30PM, Snoqualmie Firefighters were dispatched to an appliance fire at the Community park. Someone had vandalized the hand drying unit in the men’s restroom, ripping it from the wall. Power wires to the unit came loose and were arcing against the metal dryer. Power was secured to the unit and was removed completely. The electrical lines were taped off and bathroom doors were locked by Snoqualmie Police.

November 12th
At around 2:15AM, Snoqualmie Firefighters responded to a possible structure fire. The crews were met by the Snoqualmie Police Department as they were assisting the residents in getting out of the house. A resident reported a fire in his attic and thought he’d extinguished it. Upon entering the residence, firefighters found no presence of smoke— the attic was open and there was no fire found. The resident stated he saw smoke and a red glow coming from a light fixture prior to climbing up into the attic. He used an extinguisher and poured a couple of gallons of water on the area directly above the light fixture. Firefighters removed the fixture and began pulling the ceiling, discovering a small, smoldering fire. The fire was confined to the wood surrounding the fixture and a small bit of insulation. The building owner was contacted and residents of the house were able to make arrangements to stay at a different location for the night.
At 7:41AM, Snoqualmie Firefighters responded to a fire alarm at Chase Bank, which was closed due to Veterans Day. The building was clear inside, high winds outside all morning. The system was reset and bank headquarters were notified.
At around 10:30AM, Snoqualmie Firefighters were dispatched to a fire alarm at the Puget Sound Electric maintenance building. The crew found the alarm in trouble mode with workers reporting that a tech had been out earlier that morning to service the system. Staff insisted that the alarm system was fine and did not want a tech to come back out. However, the alarm could not be reset and sounded again. The crew left the alarm in trouble mode and advised staff to call the alarm technician.
At around 11:00AM, Snoqualmie Firefighters assistance was requested by another Eastside unit who was on the scene of an extinguished house fire. The Eastside unit had been dispatched to a fire located in a wall that a homeowner had located and extinguished. That unit arrived to find smoke and some residual heat, requiring overhaul and checks for fire expansion. Snoqualmie firefighters provided man power and a standby team while the crawl space was checked.
At around 7:30PM, Snoqualmie Firefighters were requested by Snoqualmie Police Department for a downed tree across Tokul Road. Firefighters cut and removed the tree from the roadway.
At around 9:15PM, Snoqualmie Firefighters were called to Snoqualmie Hospital for a fire alarm. The panel read Emergency Room Bathroom and MRI trailer. Nothing was found in either. The alarm would not reset. The facility director arrived and assisted crew in entering the password to silence the alarm. The crews learned that if staff smoke in the bathroom it will set off the fire alarm in the MRI trailer and make it difficult to reset the system.

November 13th
At around 11:00AM, Snoqualmie Firefighters responded to Chase Bank for a fire alarm. Upon arrival, an alarm tech met the crew and said he was working on the system and that it was still in trouble mode.
At around 12:30PM, Snoqualmie Firefighters were dispatched to the Puget Sound Electric maintenance building. They had been experiencing issues with the alarm for the past few days that had not yet cleared up. PSE staff were told to call an alarm tech and the system was kept in trouble mode with a fire watch set.
At around 4:00PM, Snoqualmie Firefighters responded to a two-car motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Center Street and Snoqualmie Parkway. Three patients were treated for minor injuries and released.

November 14th
At around 10:10AM, Snoqualmie Firefighters responded to Chase Bank for another fire alarm. This had been an ongoing issue two days and the alarm tech was due out that day to resolve the issue. Upon arrival, crews found no alarm or signs of fire. Staff stated that the alarm went off and then reset itself before arrival.
