April 17th
At 10:15PM Snoqualmie Firefighters were summoned by the SPD to assist with a welfare check. They needed a ladder to look into a 2nd story window. However, on arrival the caller no longer needed assistance.
April 18th
At 4:15PM Snoqualmie Firefighters were dispatched to a report of a resident burning garbage in their fire pit. Crews arrived and spoke to the homeowner, advised them they could only burn seasoned fire wood and nothing else. This location is well known to the fire department and has a history of burning illegal items.
April 19th
At 5:40PM Snoqualmie Firefighters responded to a report of smoke in the area, thought to be from a frequent burning violator. On arrival, it was found that a homeowner in the urban growth boundaries was doing some property clearing and burning piles of yard debris. The homeowner was notified that this type of burning was unauthorized and was asked to put the fire out. The homeowner complied.
Around 7:30PM Snoqualmie Firefighters and other units were dispatched to a car vs. motorcycle accident on Railroad Avenue. One patient refused care, and was left at the scene with police officers.
April 20th
Around 10:15AM Snoqualmie Firefighters were dispatched for a beeping carbon monoxide detector. The family called 911 and then evacuated the house. Crews arrived and checked the residence with a gas detector. It was determined the detector was faulty and needed to be replaced.
Around 3PM Snoqualmie Firefighters and other units were dispatched for a reported brush fire, 20′-30′ flame lengths locate near two barns. On arrival crews found a small attended burn pile. They made contact with the home owner and advised this type of burning was unauthorized.
April 21st
At 11:15AM Snoqualmie Firefighters responded to an automated residential fire alarm. The activation was unintentional and homeowner didn’t realize 911 had been called.
April 22nd
At 11:55AM Snoqualmie Firefighters responded to an adult male experiencing flu-like symptoms and respiratory distress. His primary care doctor advised he be transported to an emergency room. The patient was taken to Swedish Hospital in Issaquah.
April 23rd
Around 10:15AM Snoqualmie Firefighters were dispatched to a fire alarm at the self-storage on Douglas Street. On arrival crews were met by the property manager who stated the alarm was false and set off by construction workers. Firefighters confirmed the alarm was false and reset the system.
April 25th
At 9:45PM Snoqualmie Firefighters were summoned to the NW Kidney Center for a patient experiencing a decreased level of consciousness. The patient was transported to Swedish Hospital in Issaquah.
Around 6:30PM Snoqualmie Firefighters responded to a 911 call for a smoldering and burning trash can located near the parking area of Sandy Cove Park. On arrival, crews quickly located the trash can in question, and observed smoke and flames coming from the inside. Crews extinguished the flames and further drowned the smoldering debris to prevent reignite. The trash can was a complete loss, with moderate damage to the plastic posts and metal lid of the unit surrounding it. The cause of the fire was undetermined due to the large amount of trash and presumed to have been from a lit cigarette or other smoking material.
April 27th
Around 8PM Snoqualmie Firefighters were dispatched to a fire alarm at Mount Si High School which was set off by an installation crew in the gymnasium as they passed by a beam detector. The system reset without problems.
April 28th
Around 9:50PM Snoqualmie Firefighters were dispatched to a motor vehicle rollover accident on Snoqualmie Parkway. On arrival, 34-year-old female was standing outside the vehicle talking with police. Patient was alert, oriented and refused care.
April 29th
Around 9:15AM Snoqualmie Firefighters responded to a fire alarm at the Salish Lodge. Crews were met by an on-site maintenance worker stating the alarm was set off by construction. The system was reset.
Around 7:40PM Snoqualmie Firefighters were dispatched to a residential fire alarm. The caller stated she doesn’t believe there was a fire and the smoke detector only sounded for 3 seconds and went off. Crews arrived and met the homeowner outside. There were no signs of fire at the residence. It was determined the detectors in the house were over 10 years old and should be replaced.
