Snoqualmie Valley locals may have noticed helicopter activity around Mt. Si on Friday night.
According to the King County Sheriff’s Office, they received a 911 call on March 17, 2023, just after 5:30 PM, regarding a hiker who was stuck or needed assistance up from the Mt Si Trailhead.
A male hiker had climbed onto a large rock at 4,000 feet on Mt Si and was unable to get down.
The Snohomish County Helicopter Rescue Team assisted King County Search and Rescue and conducted the rescue of the cliffed-out solo climber on Mt Si.
HRT was able to bring him off the mountain just after 8:00 PM using the Strop rescue device.
