The Black Dog Arts Café, the home of Theatre Black Dog in downtown Snoqualmie, is bringing the iconic To Kill a Mockingbird to its stage. The play features local actors from North Bend, Snoqualmie, Redmond, Issaquah, Ballard, and Seattle – and is directed by Susan Bradford and sponsored by The Black Dog Arts Coalition and Jeff Warren of State Farm Insurance.
And much to the delight of the cast and crew, the production debuted last weekend to a packed house for all three performances. at the cafe and theater that has become a thriving hub for music and the arts.
Kristin Lockwood, whose daughter is tackling the role of Scout in her first major acting gig, said the entire cast has been very supportive of her young child as she’s learned over 200 lines for the production.
Kristin said last Sunday’s matinée performance was so packed that some folks were forced to leave – and she hopes those people will return the next two weekends to see an evening performance.
Additional showtimes include Friday, April 29th and Saturday, April 30th at 8PM and Friday, May 6th and Saturday, May 7th at 8PM.
