In 2013, the Rotary Club of Snoqualmie Valley made a decision to relocate the President’s Cup golf tournament to the TPC at Snoqualmie Ridge. We are excited to continue on this path, and this year’s event will again be held at the TPC June 30th.
Rotary International exists to advance the ideal of Service Above Self. Our local club’s goals are to expand fundraising capabilities and retain community partnerships in the effort to eradicate hunger for our neighbors in the Snoqualmie Valley.
Many of us have seen our neighbor’s struggles first-hand. There is a significant population of working poor that struggle to put three meals a day on the table. They never thought they would find themselves there. Kids go to school hungry, and are unable to focus on their studies—compromising their future.
Food plays a foundational role for us as human beings, both physically and mentally. This is why Rotary is committed over the next two years to assist local organizations in delivering relief from hunger.
Proceeds from the President’s Cup will benefit the Snoqualmie Valley Food Bank and Rotary First Harvest. Rotary has exacting standards for organizations that we support—our Four Way Test.
The Snoqualmie Valley Food Bank and Rotary First Harvest are organizations that meet family’s needs for both fresh and non-perishable food. They have earned the trust of the community and they provide services with respect and care. They are excellent at what they do.
We can do more, and we must.
You can join Rotary in the fight against hunger by participating as a sponsor in this year’s event. There are also opportunities for support by playing golf. You can learn more at snoqualmievalleyrotary.org and clicking on the President’s Cup link on our homepage.
Service above self,
