Have you seen the sign out front? There’s a little bit of change coming to a familiar Snoqualmie Valley business.
Longtime North Bend dentist, Jim Browning, recently retired after more than three decades of keeping Valley teeth healthy. On June 17th, from 1PM – 4PM, the community is invited to special retirement party/open house in his honor.
Dr. Browning relocated to North Bend in the 1980’s after receiving his dental degree and practicing in Michigan for a few years. He purchased an existing North Bend dental practice, and as they say… the rest history.
In total, Dr. Browning has practiced dentistry for 42 years, with over 30 of those years spent at the same North Bend practice along Bendigo Blvd.
Over the years he also gave back to the local community, serving on the Snoqualmie Valley Chamber of Commerce as a Board Member and President; as Alpine Days (AKA the Fesitval at Mt. Si) Chair for 10 years; and as an Encompass volunteer – including Volunteer of the Year from 1992-1993. He also was awarded the Valley Record’s Best Dentist three years in a row.
Browning also recently completed his Fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry. He is married with one son and two spoiled Golden Retrievers.
This past year Dr. Browning handed his practice off to Dr. Lisa McCoy and Dr. Jacob Deno – both also University of Michigan grads – who have renamed the practice Mt. Si Family Dental.
Dr. Brownings upcoming retirement open house will also serve as a chance for patients and community members to meet the new dentists who were carefully selected to take over his longtime dental office.
Congratulations Dr. Browning! Enjoy retirement. You staff says after 30 years, you’re truly more than a hometown dentist – you’re family.
