Lula Ruby
On Wednesday, December 12th, in a tucked-away location on Better Way SE, near the Snoqualmie Fire Station, Lula Ruby opened its doors. The new Snoqualmie hair salon specializes in organic products.
Owner, Angela Favero, gutted the once wine and cigar shop that had been sitting empty for a couple of years. She removed the bright orange walls in favor of a neutral bieige/tan color and removed the drop ceiling, exposing the duct work and giving the space a casual, urban loft feel.
I was surprised to see my own hair stylist (formerly at Acacia Salon) Elysa working at Lula Ruby. I was clueless that she was changing salons. Elysa even has a Mount Si High School connection – her uncle is MSHS Football coach, Charlie Kinnune.

Nothing to Wear
About a mile away, there’s a new women’s clothing boutique in downtown Snoqualmie – on the corner of Railroad Ave and River Street. Nothing to Wear had a soft opening earlier this week, but is holding a Holiday Sales Event tomorrow, 9AM – 7PM, to introduce itself to the community.
Owner Laura said her shop specializes in “comfy casual” styles, with a lot of yoga-type clothing. The boutique also offers spray tans – and the all the ingredients in those spray tans are organic.
At tomorrow’s Holiday Event all clothing is 20% off and you can get $10 off coupons for spray tans.
Laura recently moved to Ames Lake and has daughters in the Snoqualmie Valley School District. She said the schools attracted her to the area and she hopes to move closer to the shop in the future.
Welcome to Snoqualmie ladies!
