In a special Snoqualmie City Council meeting on Tuesday, July 22, 2014, the council conducted a second round of candidate interviews for the open Council Position 2 seat that was vacated by Jeff MacNichols his when he moved out of the Snoqualmie area.
The council interviewed its final three candidates: Chelley Patterson, Steve Smith and Brad Toft and then deliberated for over 45 minutes, according to a resident in attendance.
In the end, Chelley Patterson was chosen to fill MacNichols’ city council position. The council unanimously adopted Resolution 1264 appointing Patterson to City Council Position 2.
Patterson has lived with her family in Snoqualmie for over a decade and serves on the Snoqualmie Parks Board and as a Snoqualmie Valley YMCA Board member. She will take her Oath of Office at the July 28th Snoqualmie City Council Meeting.
Patterson’s term ends in December 2015. If she wishes to continue serving on the city council she will be required to run for election in November 2015.
