North Bend 12’s Day | Seahawks Tailgate Rally, Wheels of Boom Food Drive this Weekend

There’s some Seahawks fun heading to North Bend this weekend, Saturday, November 14, 2015 – and it also benefits the Snoqualmie Valley Food Bank. So grab all your blue and green gear (and some non-perishable food donations) and head to North Bend Way.

Downtown North Bend will host a fun North Bend 12’s Day and Wheels of Boom Food Drive. Community members are wheels of boominvited to join the Seahawks Tailgate and help Wheels of Boom by filling their vehicles with food for The Snoqualmie Valley Food Bank.

North Bend 12’s Day runs from 10AM to 3PM on November 14th and brings to town the Wheels of Boom car club, Big Dogs food truck, many unique and fun Hawks vendors, games and activities, plus special guest appearances schedule by Blitz, Mama Lynch, Mr. and Mrs. Seahawk, Norb Cam and Wilson the 12th pony!

According to event organizer, Stacy Cepeda, Wheels of Boom actually helped coordinate this special Seahawaks food drive. Stacy explained the event morphed into way much more than she originally intended when the Seahawks inspired car club came up with the idea of including a food drive component, which Stacy said plays right into Wheels of Boom Board of Directors guiding principles – “making a difference in the community one cause at a time.”

Once the City of North Bend partnered with Wheels of Boom it was ‘game on’ for a BIG – and giving back – Seahawks inspired Rally that will bring team pride to the streets of downtown North Bend – and hopefully spark a winning second half of the season as the Hawks work to get back to the playoffs.

The City of North Bend encourages community members to come out this Saturday dressed in their “Hawks spirit” best – and if you do you’ll  even get a FREE treat from Georgia’s Bakery.

Most importantly, though, don’t forget your non-perishable food donation for a chance to get behind the wheel of one of the awesome Wheels of Boom Seahawks vehicles.

The Snoquamie Valley Food Bank is currently collecting Thanksgiving Dinner items including canned green beans, stuffing mix, instant potatoes, canned corn, canned gravy, canned fruit, chicken and/or vegetable gravy and turkey funds (cash or check).  The North Bend QFC will also be at the event selling cases of canned food to purchase and donate to Wheels of Boom.

The Seahawks face their division rival, the Arizona Cardinals, on Sunday, November 15th at 5:30PM in a nationally televised ‘Sunday Night Football’ game.
