North Bend City Hall reopened to the public on Tuesday, March 1st, City Hall and other City buildings will return to previously practiced, in-person, regular hours of operation:
- Monday through Thursday, from 8:30 a.m. to noon, and 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to noon
At this time, visitors may schedule in-person appointments with City staff, though public meetings will continue to be held virtually until further notice. Everyone will be required to wear face coverings and physically distance themselves.
The City’s top priority remains for City staff and visitors’ safety. Refer to the King County Department of Health Masking Guidance for additional information on when and how to properly mask up.
This reopening comes after a noted, continuous decrease in reported COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations, paired with high vaccination rates in North Bend and King County as a whole.
According to King County Public Health, the COVID-19 community transmission level in North Bend has seen a 34% decrease from last week, with 23 cases reported in the last seven days, and no new hospitalizations reported.
“We wouldn’t be able to re-open our doors without the incredible community support that is essential to attain this level of decreased COVID-19 transmission rates. Thank you to residents and visitors for not giving up,” said Mayor Rob McFarland.
Visitors should stay at home if they are ill, and the City asks everyone to self-screen prior to their visit. While the current Omicron variant continues to decline, COVID-19 infection rates are persisting.
Vaccinations, boosters, masking and physical distancing are all encouraged by Public Health officials to slow the spread of the highly transmissible Omicron variant and reduce stress on the healthcare system.
Masks will be available at City Hall for residents and businesses while you visit, and also available should you need a few extras for your home or business.
