North Bend’s Valley Center Stage presents ‘Tiny Beautiful Things’

Valley Center Stage’s presentation of the Nia Vardalos (My Big Fat Greek Wedding) adaptation of Cheryl Strayed’s best-selling book Tiny Beautiful Things will take place live and in person at the newly renovated Sallal Grange on February 18th – March 5th, 2022.

This February, Valley Center Stage is presenting its newest offering. Uplifting, inspiring, and deeply moving, Tiny Beautiful Things tells the story of struggling writer Cheryl Strayed (Wild) and her journey as Dear Sugar, the online advice columnist. Initially unsure of herself, Strayed reaches beyond her uncertainty and connects to her readers with humility, unconditional positive regard, humor, and compassion. Uplifting, inspiring, and deeply moving, Tiny Beautiful Things is the experience of catharsis, hope, and humor we all need right now.

‘Sugar’s message of love and acceptance, communicated with wit, wisdom, and raw honesty, shines throughout this play. It is a play that connects all of us through the common experience of struggling and finding a way through’ ~ Wanda Boe, Director

Shows will be presented at Valley Center Stage’s new venue; the recently renovated and fully accessible Sallal Grange. VCS’s presentations of this critically acclaimed play will run from February 18th through March 5th with evening performances Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, and matinee performances on Sundays.

Join director Wanda Boe and the talented cast in the beautiful and heartwarming theatrical exercise in empathy that is Tiny Beautiful Things.

‘[Sugar] doesn’t tell her readers exactly what to do, but rather encourages them to reach, to take emotional risks, to connect and find forgiveness.’ ~ Wanda Boe, Director
