Si View Parks recently announced that it is celebrating Park and Recreation Month with Si View Metro Parks’ 4th annual Outdoor Live Theater in the Park event.
Local theater company, Valley Center Stage, in bringing Caps for Sale! musical production to Si View Park on Sunday July 23rd, at 2PM – AND admission is free for the outdoor theater event. Just grab a blanket or a low seated chair, and enjoy a memorable afternoon of performing arts in your local park.
In the event of inclement weather, the show will be moved to Si View gym. Theater in the Park program is sponsored by Si View Metro Parks and partially funded by King County Community Service Area Grant Program.
Caps for Sale! is a timeless children’s classic about a gregarious hat peddler and a band of mischievous monkeys. The peddler stacks his hats high on his head so that he is free to shake hands with any new person willing to shake his hand. When monkeys steal his hats, the peddler finds some very funny ways to outwit the monkeys and as a result, gently provide ways children can work through almost any roadblock in their life.
This musical adapted from the children’s book of the same name, engages audiences of all ages with catchy songs, sweet life lessons and laughter. Si View invited the whole community to join them for this fun musical for all ages.
