Drivers using westbound Interstate 90 should prepare for nightly lane reductions through March 30th.
The I-90 pavement rehabilitation project work zone begins at Southeast High Point Way and ends at Highlands Drive Northeast.
Lane reductions are planned nightly Sunday through Thursday, starting Sunday, March 12, through Thursday, March 30. Sunday night work hours are 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Weeknight work hours are 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. All lanes will be open on Friday and Saturday nights.
Drivers should allow extra time and be prepared for the closure of two left lanes or two right lanes as they enter the work zone. One through lane will be open for all traffic.
During the lane reductions, contractor crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation are smoothing concrete panels using diamond-tipped grinders and repairing damaged bridge decks.
The work is weather dependent.
