Police Blotter | Arrested after brief foot pursuit; sun causes car vs pedestrian collision; illegal dumping at the carwash

Here are a few calls the Snoqualmie Police Department responded to in North Bend and Snoqualmie last week.

AGENCY ASSIST| RAILROAD AVE SE

On March 26th at 6:20PM, a car hit a woman. It was traveling west on River Street and turned left onto Doone Lane. The pedestrian was walking eastbound on River Street and kept walking as the car turned, thinking the vehicle would see her and stop. The driver said the sun was in her eyes and didn’t see the pedestrian. The two exchanged information and then the driver took the pedestrian to the Snoqualmie Eagles where Snoqualmie FD was called for an evaluation. The pedestrian had a hurt right hand, scraped right knee, and a hurt right ankle. She was then transported to Snoqualmie Valley Hospital for evaluation.   

WARRANTS/WANTED PERSON | SNOQUALMIE CASINO

On March 27th at 1AM a known subject was arrested on warrants “after a brief foot pursuit.” The subject ditched a bag containing methamphetamine (12.74gm) and Xanax pills.  

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES | THRASHER AVE, North Bend

On March 27th around 12:30PM a caller reported that while mowing the lawn, he looked up and a saw man standing in his backyard holding his son’s basketball and pointing at him. The subject didn’t answer when the caller addressed him, but reportedly ran away and hopped into a red SUV. The man was described as in his 50’s and wearing a beanie and a large jacket with a hood up. The caller said he posted about the encounter on Instagram and advised people to call PD, but also wanted to to advise police of the incident. The caller was advised to call police right away next time. Police were unable to located the man.

HAZARDOUS ROADWAY CONDITION | RAILROAD AVE, Snoqualmie

On March 27th at 7:45PM  a caller reported a white male in his 20’s in the roadway crying. An officer responded to the Freshman Campus bus turnaround area and made contact with the known man who was intoxicated. Aid was called. The man had not suffered any apparent injury. He was given a courtesy ride home.

WEAPONS OFFENSE | SNOQUALMIE SAFEWAY

On March 28th at 4:45AM an employee reported a male in his 30’s trying to force open the store’s doors. The caller said the man tried repeatedly – including putting a “spear” in the opening of the doors – even though the store is closed. An officer responded. The man was detained at gunpoint and booked into Issaquah Jail.

THEFT IN-PROGRESS | NORTH BEND OUTLET MALL

On March 28th at 8:15PM a caller reported theft in-progress at the Michael Kors store. A white male in his late 30’s reportedly stole 4 or 5 purses valued at over $1000 and then left in a white Ford F150 truck. An officer responded but was unable to locate the man.     

ILLEGAL DUMPING | TWIN STAR CARWASH, Snoqualmie

On March 29th at 12PM a caller reported a bright red, possibly a minivan, had dumped rear seats in a carwash bay. No suspected info was known.
