Here are some of the calls the Snoqualmie Police Department responded to in North Bend and Snoqualmie during the week of November 22, 2014. Many times, police work doesn’t involve sirens and lights – and sometimes, callers just want things checked out that don’t feel right.

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY | TORRID STORE, North Bend Outlet Mall

November 22, 2014; Reported at 3:10PM

Police responded to the area to check for an attempted robbery suspect.  The male subject attempted to snatch an employee’s purse. Mall security was also advised of the incident.

Officers were not able to located the subject, as he fled in an unknown direction before they arrived. The employee reported she was not injured and no physical confrontation occurred.

ASSAULT IN-PROGRESS | FALLS AVE SE & SE RIVER ST, Snoqualmie 

It was reported that two subjects who were at the Eagles were now in the roadway fighting. The caller said both appeared to be very intoxicated.  Caller stated they were still in the road when he left the area.

Police responded. Officer said the parties involved were ‘uncooperative/deceptive,’ but there was no probable cause for police action.

THEFT IN-PROGRESS | NIKE Store, North Bend Outlet Mall

November 23, 2014; Reported at 2:12PM

An employee reported a subject took clothing and shoes from the Nike Store and left in a silver Audi heading toward the freeway.  A second caller reported that they saw the vehicle near SR 18 on westbound I-90, but was no longer following the vehicle.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES | SE NORTH BEND WAY, North Bend

November 24, 2014; Reported at 10:31PM

A person reported that there is a white male sleeping on the ground in a shed at the second entrance to the Mt. Si Mobile Home Park.

Police respond and took the man into custody for an Issaquah warrant. During a search of the subject’s backpack at police station, drug paraphernalia was discovered and a citation was issued.

THEFT REPORT |  SE CEDAR ST, Snoqualmie

November 25, 2014; Reported at 5:39PM

It was reported that a motorized bicycle with a gas engine was stolen from a garage.

AREA CHECK | E NORTH BEND WAY, North Bend

November 26, 2014; 6:14PM

It was reported that a full grown man was riding in a little kids motorized Jeep on the side of the road.  Police responded but could not locate the man in the small Jeep.

MALICIOUS MISCHIEF | TPC Snoqualmie Ridge, Snoqualmie

November 26, 2014; Reported at 1:27PM

An employee reported that someone had set fire to the female restroom on the golf course’s  hole #15 within the last 24 hours.  The caller reported significant damage was done to the restroom.

Police responded and discovered that an unknown suspect(s) had broken the sink and other bathroom accessories and then set fire inside, which caused the interior plastic siding of the restroom to melt.  No info is known about the suspect(s).

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES | FALLS AVE SE, Snoqualmie

November 26, 2014; Reported at 8:05PM

A caller reported that sometime in the afternoon someone left a $2o bill on her vehicle’s windshield. The caller stated she had read that people do this in attempted car jackings and so wanted to speak to an officer.

An officer made contact and spoke to the woman about the money left on her car.  There were no other suspicious issues reported during the contact.

VEHICLE PROWL |  SE OSPREY CT, Snoqualmie 

November 28, 2014; Reported at 8:29AM

A caller reported a vehicle prowl. Their drivers license was stolen along with change from the ashtray. The caller stated that oddly, their hood was also up, but the battery was still present, engine was intact and there was no damage to the ignition.

The caller just wanted to report to police that there was car prowl activity in the neighborhood.

  • Too funny I came across this! My husband is the one who left the $20 on the person’s vehicle on Falls Ave. He was running and found it laying on the side of her road by the car. When he got home he told me about it since he tried to be a good samaritan and left it on her windshield instead of taking it. : )

    1. Lol. She’s all freaked out thinking theirs a weirdo waiting in bushes about to attack. Really it was a good Samaritan.
