Police Blotter | Dog attack; wolf doesn’t flinch when officer waves and says hi; not car sex, just changing

Here are a few of the calls the Snoqualmie Police Department responded to within the city limits of North Bend and Snoqualmie over the past two weeks.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES |  WILDE AVE SE, Snoqualmie

On September 3rd 9:20PM a caller reported that someone had rung their doorbell and left. The caller reported that the porch light was off and no one was ever seen – and requested a drive through of the area.  An officer checked the area, but nothing was seen nor heard.


THREATS |  WILDHARE VINTAGE, Snoqualmie

On September 4th at 9:30PM an employee reported that a known male suspect was driving by the store, making threats – cursing and yelling at employees behind the store.  An officer reported that no crime was committed.


BURGLARY REPORT |  WEST CREST VIEW LOOP, Snoqualmie          

On September 5th 2:45PM a caller reported a vehicle prowl and a stolen set of golf clubs, valued at $200. The homeowner forgot to close their garage door overnight.


SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES | PINEHURST AVE SE, Snoqualmie

On September 8th at 10:30PM a caller reported that a dog was barking excessively, which was not common for the area. The caller was concerned something is wrong at the home where the dog was located.  An officer responded and found a dog in a nearby backyard, but that no one was home. The owner then returned. The dog was ok.


ANIMAL PROBLEM | SWENSON DR & SE VAUGHAN, Snoqualmie

On September 9th at 10:50AM a caller reported a large coyote, described as the size of a wolf, sitting across the street from and near Timber Ridge Elementary.  The caller said the coyote had been there for about an hour and didn’t appear to be scared of humans – and that her neighbor was calling Fish and Wildlife. An officer drove through the area and reported that the “Coyote was standing near the road, did not flinch as I drove by and waved.”


SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES | SNOQUALMIE POINT PARK

On September 12th around 6PM a caller reported two subjects in a parked vehicle having sex, said they were completely naked.  An officer responded and talked to the vehicle occupants who explained they were just changing clothes.


SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES |  SI VIEW COMMUNITY CENTER

On September 13th at 1:10AM an officer made contact with a male in an occupied vehicle who had a gun on the vehicle’s floorboard. The man had a concealed permit license.


THEFT REPORT | SE SWENSON ST, Snoqualmie

On September 13th around 2:40PM a caller reported that two days prior her son’s bicycle was stolen from their front porch – a mountain bike with an alloy frame.


MALICIOUS MISCHIEF REPORT | OLMSTEAD AVE SE, Snoqualmie

On September 14th at 10:20AM a caller reported that two vehicles in the area were egged overnight and asked for extra police patrols on the street.


WELFARE CHECK | NORTH BEND LIBRARY

On September 14th at 2:15PM a library employee reported staff were concern with a male who kept falling asleep in the building and then had been in the restroom for about 30 minutes.  An officer contacted the man who said he was fine, but wanted officers to know that a woman had approached him earlier in the day and complained about him talking to her daughter.  The man explained to officers that he talked to himself sometimes.


SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES | NORTH BEND BARTELLS

On September 15th at 1:15PM an officer contacted two subjects in the store parking lot. One subject reportedly had straw in his hands and based on the circumstances, it appeared he was about to turn the straw in to drug paraphernalia. No probable cause could be established, though, and the man would not consent to a search.


ANIMAL PROBLEM | TANNERWOOD WAY SE, North Bend

On September 16th at 8:45AM an officer responded to a report of a brownish colored “Pit Bull looking” dog that had bit a black lab around the neck. When the owner of the lab pulled the attacking dog off he sustained cuts on two fingers. A neighbor stated where the dog possibly lived, which was where the caller said the attack happened.  The officer attempted to contact the homeowner and locate the dog, but was unable to do either. Animal control was notified.
