Here are some of the calls the Snoqualmie Police Department responded to in North Bend and Snoqualmie last week – and yes, they really do respond to wildlife on the loose.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES | DOUGLAS AVE SE & AZALEA WAY SE, Snoqualmie

A caller reported that it appeared someone had started a fire inside the women’s restroom at Azalea Park, with slight damage to floor and a smell of burning – nothing was on fire at the time of the call, though.
Police responded. It appeared that most likely juveniles set fire to some newspaper and magazines in both the mens and women’s restrooms, but it didn’t look like any damage occurred. The officer reported it was “hell of a mess,” though. There were no suspects in the incident. The officer forwarded pictures to the city parks department.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE | NORTH BEND QFC

A caller reported that male subjects driving a gray minivan were trying to sell a 72″ TV and surround sound system in the store’s parking lot – that they had approached multiple people.
Police responded and checked the area but were unable to locate the vehicle and/or subjects.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES | STONE CREEK CIRCLE SW, North Bend

A caller reported that someone with a flashlight was peering into vehicles in the area of the Rock Creek Ridge Apartment Complex entrance.
Police responded but were unable to locate any suspicious persons and no prowls were observed in the area.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES | ROCK CREEK RIDGE BLVD SW, North Bend

A caller reported a male was inside a vehicle near the office of the Rock Creek Ridge Apartments and it appeared he was trying to rip out the stereo.
Police responded. The subject was the registered owner of the vehicle, but drug paraphernalia was found. The male was taken into custody for possession of drug paraphernalia and trespassing.
DISTURBANCE | HOFF AVE SE, Snoqualmie

Police responded to a call from a homeowner who was in a verbal altercation with a subject. The caller said he had an ongoing problem with the subject backing into his property.
The officer reported that the caller yelled at a female for backing into the alley, saying she was aiming for his rockery. The female said she’d never been to the location before and was just backing out of her boyfriend’s driveway when the caller approached her aggressively and began yelling at her.
The officer stated the caller was “not very understanding of how to be a nice neighbor and is very protective of his property. Nothing was even hit.”
MALICIOUS MISCHIEF REPORT | AUTUMN AVE SE, Snoqualmie

Police responded to take a report of egging that occurred the night before at the location. The eggs caused damage to the paint work of a vehicle. The owner took photos of the car before the eggs were cleaned off, but the car still had scratches. The owner needed a case file number for his insurance company.
There were no other reports of eggings in the area and no suspects were known, nor grudges held, according to the responding officer. The vehicle suffered about $500 in damage from the eggs.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES | TRUCK TOWN, North Bend

A caller reported that man was hunched over the wheel of a gold Jeep SUV… headlights were on and the man was not moving.
Police responded and found a suspicious male sleeping in his vehicle while it was still running. The officer contacted the man and was advised that the subject was living out of his vehicle. The man appeared to be intoxicated, but also very tired. The vehicle stated the vehicle was safely off the roadway and he advised the man not to drive.
TRAFFIC OFFENSE | I-90 / EXIT 34, North Bend

Police detained and arrested a North Bend man for having an outstanding warrant for his arrest. During the course of the arrest, officers located drug paraphernalia on the man, which was later destroyed.
DISTURBANCE | SE NEWTON ST, Snoqualmie
January 23, 2015; Reported at 4:04PM
A caller reported sounds of a disturbance, with two males yelling threats and mentioned a gun.
Police responded and contacted one of the subjects who informed the officer that he and his known associated had gotten into an argument so he asked him to leave. The associate left, but not before yelling all sorts of stuff. There was no report of a crime and no evidence of a crime at the location.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES | MERRETT PL NE, North Bend

A caller reported a suspicious male checking door handles of vehicles. The caller approached the subject, who then hurried away and last seen walking westbound on 4th AVE and Ballarat area.
Police responded and canvassed the area, but were unable to locate the subject.
VEHICLE PROWL IN-PROGRESS | FALLS AVE SE, Snoqualmie
January 24, 2015; Reported at 1:39AM
A caller reported she interrupted an attempted vehicle prowl. The subject walked up to her driver’s side door. She yelled at him and he took off running toward.
Police responded but were unable to locate the subject.
ANIMAL PROBLEM | 384TH AVE SE; NEAR 92ND ST, Snoqualmie
January 28, 2015; Reported at 10:54AM
A caller from the Snoqualmie Valley School District Transportation center reported there was a pig on the loose in the area – and it appeared to be headed toward the old Honey Farm Hill.
Police responded within 5 minutes, but were unable to locate any pigs in the area.
