Here are a few of the calls the Snoqualmie Police Department responded to in North Bend and Snoqualmie during the past two weeks:
CITIZEN ASSIST | SNOQUALMIE POLICE DEPARTMENT
On May 5th around 4:30PM, police assisted a family whose two-year-old daughter had a child’s training toilet stuck around her neck. Officers were able to remove it with the help of the Snoqualmie Fire Department’s tools.

VEHICLE PROWL REPORT | SNOQUALMIE POINT PARK, Snoqualmie
On May 5th around 7:15PM, a caller reported that their car window had been broken and their purse and cell phone were stolen from inside the vehicle.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE | SE GRAVENSTEIN CT, Snoqualmie
On May 9th around 6:15PM, a caller reported physical violence in his family. The father, who had been drinking, apparently tossed the remote to his daughter, accidentally hitting her, and she threw it back at him. It appears that there was no intent to harm. Officers arrived and talked with the family, warning them not to throw objects. Both the father and daughter appeared to understand.

FIELD INTERVIEW | SAFEWAY, North Bend
On May 11th around 3:45AM, a possible stolen vehicle was spotted in the Safeway parking lot, with a driver inside. Snoqualmie Police arrived on scene and put a spike strip in front of the vehicle to keep the suspect from driving off. They tried to make contact with the passenger, but didn’t get a response. Eventually they got the driver out of the vehicle and detained him. Snoqualmie Police made contact with the Kalispell Police Department and confirmed that the vehicle had been stolen back in early March. The suspect didn’t want to make a statement and was placed in a holding cell while police locked up and secured the vehicle.

AREA CHECK | HANCOCK AVE SE, Snoqualmie
On May 11th around 5:45PM, a caller reported that there was an upset neighbor down the street putting up “Slow Down” signs in the roadway, creating a hazard. Police checked the area.

THEFT REPORT | GOT RICE, Snoqualmie
On May 12th around 9:10PM, a caller reported that a customer had dined and dashed, leaving on a bicycle without paying his bill. The caller took a photo of the subject, who the police recognized as a known subject. Officers located and detained him. He was trespassed from Got Rice for one year.

THEFT REPORT | SNOQUALMIE FALLS
On May 13th around 6:15PM, a caller reported that her purse was stolen while she was taking photos.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES | MCDONALDS, North Bend
On May 14th around 1:15AM, an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with expired tabs that was leaving the McDonalds drive-through. The officer discovered that the registered owner of the vehicle also had citations for driving without a license. However, it was not the registered owner of the vehicle who was driving. The registered owner was in the back seat, along with a woman, and both of them had no pants on. The driver said that the two of them were having sex in the back seat while he drove with headphones in. The officer spoke with all three subjects, who said they were returning to Central Washington University. Both subjects in the back seat reported that the sex was consensual. There were no victims of indecent exposure, but the officer advised all parties on indecent exposure laws, as well as traffic laws.

On May 14th around 11:30AM, a caller reported that four cars in the parking lot had their windows smashed in, and three purses were stolen. Officers responded and checked the area for the suspect, but were unable to locate.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES | SE TURNBERRY ST & EAGLE LAKE DR SE, Snoqualmie
On May 15th around 3:00PM, a car crashed into the wooden fence on the sidewalk by the golf course, after swerving to miss an animal in the road. The car suffered multiple flat tires and a tow truck was required to clear the scene.

JUVENILE PROBLEM | PINE AVE & CEDAR ST; PARK, Snoqualmie
On May 15th around 6:15PM, a caller reported two kids smoking near the park. An officer contacted the two juveniles who claimed to have “found” a vape. The officer took the vape and destroyed it.

AREA CHECK | CENTENNIAL FIELD, Snoqualmie
On May 16th around 9:15PM, an officer contacted juveniles who were playing nerf in the park and advised them that the park was closed. *Officer’s Note: ”Juvenile playing nerf war wanted confirmation that I saw his buddy get hit by a nerf dart. Another one bites the dust. :)”

CITIZEN ASSIST | MCDONALDS, North Bend
On May 17th around 3:10AM, an officer contacted a subject sitting outside of McDonalds shivering. The officer took him to Safeway so he could sit and stay warm and bought him some donuts to munch on until the buses start running.

ASSAULT IN-PROGRESS | SAFEWAY, Snoqualmie
On May 18th around 9:15AM, police responded to a situation where a male subject assaulted the employee at the gas station. The subject appeared to be a former employee. Medical attention was needed and the victim ended up being taken to the hospital for further medical assistance. The suspect was found in the back of Safeway. Police detained him and also trespassed him from the store for one year.
