December 3rd
DUI on Way to School
At 8PM officers were dispatched to the area of SE Cedar Falls Way and Stilson Ave SE for a vehicle that hit an embankment and continued driving. The caller followed the vehicle when it came to a stop in the middle of the roadway on 16th. When officers arrived and contacted the female driver, she stated she was trying to pick up her son from a nearby elementary school, but was having trouble finding it. Officers smelled a strong odor of intoxicants on her. When asked to step out of the vehicle, she nearly fell out. After field sobriety tests, the female was arrested and booked for DUI. Her son was picked up by his father.
December 4th
Underwear Boxing Match
At 6:30PM officers were dispatched to the Snoqualmie Valley Hospital for an irate and combative male who attempted to assault an employee. The responding officer located the male in the lobby only wearing his underwear. After not complying with the officer’s commands, the male got into a “fighting stance” and began charging the officer and swinging at him. The officer deployed his taser and the male was taken into custody. After being medically cleared, the male was booked into jail on assault charges.
December 5th
Drugs and Stolen Cards
At 11:30PM during a routine patrol of Pickering Court Apartments, officers spotted a vehicle driving extremely slow. After running the plate, the vehicle was listed as recently sold and the officer conducted a traffic stop. The driver immediately was argumentative and non-compliant. The male driver was found to have methamphetamine and several different cards on him that were not in his name. Another officer on scene spotted more cards inside the door of the vehicle. The vehicle was impounded for a search warrant and the driver was arrested on multiple charges.
December 6th
Abandoned House Party
At 3:20PM officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Merritt Ave NE to an abandoned house with the front door open. When officers arrived, lights were on throughout the house and they heard music coming from inside. Officers cleared the house and found no one inside. However, they did find a lonely rabbit. Officers later found that a prior resident juvenile was bringing his friends inside the house. King County Animal Control was contacted about the rabbit.
December 7th
Welfare Check
At 9PM officers responded to the 6300 block of Douglas Ave SE for a welfare check. While speaking with the male, he attempted to disarm the officer and take his taser from his belt. Charges are pending.
