Prowler in Unincorporated King County Area, Near Sammamish
The King County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) is asking for the public’s help to locate a transient man, whom they have probable cause to arrest for possession of stolen property.
Police say to be on the lookout for Shayne C. Kennedy, who is suspected of prowling the unincorporated area of King County near Sammamish.
Kennedy is 41-years old, 6 feet tall, about 190lbs and is described as having long, reddish-blonde hair, often pulled back in a ponytail.
KCSO Sergeant DB Gates said most recently, Kennedy was thought to be around the 30000 block of SE Issaquah-Fall City Road.
His M.O. is to take items from unlocked garages or outbuildings. He was last seen wearing a bulky, water-resistant outfit and backpack.
The Sheriff’s Office is encouraging residents to make sure their homes, garages or outbuildings are kept locked and keep porch or deck lights on during the hours of darkness, as criminals prefer to work under cover of darkness. Lighting a property makes a less favorable target for burglars and prowlers.
Anyone with information on the location of Kennedy is asked to call the KCSO Communications Center at (206) 296.3311
