A group of five University of Washington students majoring in Community, Environment and Planning in the College of Built Environments is currently working on an energy efficiency project for the City of Snoqualmie. The UW undergrad seniors created the survey to help get an idea of current home energy efficiency efforts in downtown residential Snoqualmie. The project’s end goal is to make recommendations to city officials regarding more effective ways to promote Puget Sound Energy rebates offered to residents who make energy-efficient home upgrades.
Downtown residents were mailed a post card over the weekend detailing the survey: Snoqualmie Home Energy Survey half-sheet The survey link can be found here and on the City of Snoqualmie’s homepage. The survey is open through Sunday, November 20th. For residents who have done small home updates and/or retrofits, the survey only takes about 3 minutes. For residents who have made bigger home improvements, it should take less than 10 minutes to complete.
The college students developed the survey for Snoqualmie as part of a UW planning course. It was tailored to meet the city’s needs and desire to improve the outreach for PSE’s rebate program. If you live in downtown Snoqualmie and have made minor or major home improvements in recent years, please consider helping these students out and complete their survey. If you don’t live in downtown Snoqualmie, but know someone who does, please consider forwarding them this story or the survey link. A great group of students will appreciate your help.
