The spring recycling event below has been canceled. The event was sponsored by the City of North Bend. Due to the April 25th explosion in North Bend and the building damage that will require staff and equipment, the event will have to be rescheduled.

It’s a busy weekend around the Snoqualmie Valley. If you’re looking for some Saturday fun, or maybe just doing some spring cleaning, these events have you covered.
A few happenings to keep on your radar for Saturday, April 26, 2014:
Healthy Kids Day at the YMCA
Nationally, Healthy Kids Day the Y’s biggest event – and quite a big deal for them – as it is the nation’s largest health day for families.
The Snoqualmie Valley YMCA invites all Valley kids and parents to stop by for a free, family friendly community event, Saturday, April 26th from 10AM – 1PM. The YMCA is located at 35018 SE Ridge Street – next to Cascade View Elementary School.
30 community businesses and YMCA partners will participate in this year’s event. There’s fun for the entire family including a trout fishing pond (new this year), lots of bounce houses, games, snacks (healthy, of course), performances by local vendors – and more.

North Bend Blues Walk
Back for another year! Nearly 20 North Bend business are participating in this year’s Blues Walk, a one day Blues Festival at multiple business venues celebrating classic blues music, bringing musicians from locals to legends to historic downtown North Bend.
It’s an evening where normally busy streets close and walking is encouraged. Stroll business to business and enjoy the sounds of blues artists at each stop along the way – from 6PM – midnight, Saturday, April 26th.

Prescription Drug Take-Back Event
The Snoqualmie Police Department will be participating in National Prescription Drug Take Back Day from 10AM-2PM, April 26th, at the Snoqualmie Fire Department, 37600 SE Snoqualmie Parkway.
Community members can utilize a free and anonymous drive-thru drop-off in the parking lot to safely dispose of unwanted and unused prescription and over-the-counter drugs.
Studies show that the majority of teens who abuse prescription drugs obtain them from family and friends for free, including from the home medicine cabinet.

Spring Recycling Event
It’s spring cleaning time and King County is doing its part to help local residents.
Dispose of unwanted household items from 9AM – 3PM, April 26th, at the Mount Si Freshman Campus (formerly Snoqualmie Middle School), 9200 Railroad Ave SE.
