There’s a lot more to being a Girl Scout than selling boxes of cookies once a year, including friendship, leadership and adventure – and some longtime Valley Girl Scouts are ready to prove it to you this weekend.
Girl Scouts of Western Washington’s Senior Troop 2578 is helping to advance the image of Girl Scouting across the Snoqualmie Valley by hosting a community celebration Saturday, May 2nd in Snoqualmie Elementary School’s Gymnasium, 9:30AM – 11AM.
The young ladies are showcasing that Girl Scouts are more than a cute box of cookies, with activities range from community service to gaining leadership with “courage, confidence and character.”
With 67 Girl Scout Troops making up Service Unit 442 in the Snoqualmie Valley, girls are excited to highlight some of their amazing adventures and educational experiences they have shared together, as well as many new memories planned for 2015 and beyond.
The event is a brunch and will include troops showcasing what makes them proud to be a Girl Scout. At the end of the event, participants will be encouraged to make a charitable donation supporting Girl Scouts of Western Washington’s Camp River Ranch which is located in Carnation, Washington.
