The City of Snoqualmie reported around 8:30AM, June 15, 2017 that a serious car accident had forced the closure of SE North Bend Way at the Meadowbrook Way/ 384th intersection near the old Snoqualmie Valley Hospital.
At 10AM, the King County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) stated via social media that the accident involved two single-occupied vehicles. One driver was transported by ambulance to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. The other driver was treated at the scene.
SE North Bend Way remained closed Thursday morning near the scene while detectives investigated the accident. One resident reported vehicles exiting at I-90 exit 27 were being re-routed back onto the freeway.
Preliminary information released by KCSO stated there were no signs of intoxication. The cause is being investigated and it was unknown if the drivers were wearing seat belts.
Snoqualmie Fire Department Captain Mike Bailey, who responded to the accident, said the seriously injured 17-year old driver was t-boned at the intersection, sustaining severe damage to the side of their vehicle. He said it was unclear which direction the drivers were heading before the collision, only that the injured driver was making a turn when impact occurred.

With respect to the family, I’ll refrain from all the details, but he is expected to make a full recovery, albeit a long one.
Thank you so much for responding. I have a daughter learning to drive. This is every parents biggest fear and my heart goes out to his family. I’m so glad to hear that he’ll recover.
Ty is in icu. He has had a few surgeries already, and has a long road ahead of him, but the doctors expect him to make a full recovery.
The injured person is one of my closest friends. For all of you worried he is currently doing very well, in fact when I visited him earlier today he stood up! Although there are still many issues internally he is doing fantastic so far.
