Serve Your Community on a City of Snoqualmie Commission

Are you looking for a way to get involved in the Snoqualmie community?

The city seeks a diverse range of community members to volunteer on several City of Snoqualmie commissions and committees. Available positions include Economic Development Commission (1), Human Services Advisory Committee (1), and the Parks & Events Commission (5).

The Economic Development Commission consists of seven members who reside within the city and/or own or operate a business within the Snoqualmie business community. Committee members make periodic recommendations to the planning commission and the City Council regarding the impact on the economic development of the city’s plans, policies, and regulations. The commission meets once a month via Zoom or dial-in and has one opening.

The Human Services Advisory Committee helps manage the Human Services Program by administering the funding application process, advising the City Council on biennial budget allocations, and providing oversight of Human Services funds. This advisory committee meets on an as-needed basis and has one opening.

The Parks and Events Commission helps determine parks usage initiatives and upcoming events. This committee, which meets on the third Monday of each month at 7 p.m., has five openings.

Mayor Katherine Ross is considering applications for appointment and confirmation by the City Council. New members must reside within the corporate limits of the city. Applications are due Friday, February 4 at 5 p.m
