Looking for a local, volunteer opportunity? Studies show that volunteering can help people live longer, happier lives and feel more connected to their communities. In the Snoqualmie Valley, the Hopelink Food Bank is looking for volunteers who are ready to reap the benefits of giving back while also helping their neighbors for a couple of hours a week.
Shifts are available during the following days and times at the Carnation Hopelink site at 31957 E. Commercial ST:
- First and third Thursdays from 11:45AM-1:30PM
- Second and fourth Wednesdays from 5:15 to 6:45PM
All volunteers will need to pass a background check and complete an orientation prior to beginning service. Children can volunteer, too. Kids aged 7 to 15 just need to be accompanied by a guardian.
For more information, call 425.869.6066, or register online at: http://www.hope-link.org/take_action/volunteer. The next Sno-Valley orientation for registered volunteers will be Wednesday, September 12.
