Snoqualmie Inn to Replace Hampton Inn & Suites

Chun Lai Hospitality, owner of the Hampton Inn & Suites in Snoqualmie, has ended its affiliation with Hilton, Hampton’s parent company. Chun Lai Hospitality is now affiliated with Hotel America and will be named the Snoqualmie Inn.

Chun Lai Hospitality is based in North Bend. In a meeting with the City of Snoqualmie administration and Council Members, the owner’s daughter Chloe Hou and GM Yvonne Gilbert emphasized the business wants to offer the best service to the community and visitors and feel transitioning to a new parent company will allow them to do so.

After a spirited debate, Snoqualmie council members voted 4-3 on December 14th to allow the name change as long as the service and pricing level remains consistent.

The hotel remains open for business. Temporary signage will be installed shortly. The City of Snoqualmie will be reviewing permanent signage.

  • I don’t disagree with you AC. This meeting was in mid-December and I did send out emails to city contacts as well as to Chun Lai for clarification on some points but I think perhaps the holiday shuffle perhaps put my emails in the backs of people’s minds. But in the interest of not throwing anyone under the bus, it also went to the back of my mind.
I can tell you some of what you ask. The votes were:
    Jeans-yes
    Ross-yes
    Laase-no
    Shepard-no
    Sundwall-yes
    Holloway-yes
    Mayhew-no
When I find out more I will update the story.

      1. There was a Development Agreement between the City of Snoqualmie and Chun Lai Hospitality, LLC to keep the Hampton Inn & Suites name for 20 years and this was a major modification to that agreement
