The City’s important capital improvement project that will rehabilitate the pavement and intersection ADA ramps and curbs of the 3.5-mile-long Snoqualmie Parkway is set to begin the week of June 19, 2023. A one-time state grant is funding the approximate $3.75 million project.
During the first six weeks of the project, contractor crews working for the City of Snoqualmie will address curbs and ADA ramps at multiple Snoqualmie Parkway intersection pedestrian crossings between Better Way Loop SE and SE 99th Street. Minimal traffic impacts are expected with this work.
With curb and ramp work complete, in August, crews will begin the higher-impact pavement grinding and repaving of Snoqualmie Parkway, which will require lane closures. The roadway, though, will remain open during construction.
Other work included in the approximate 3-month project consists of the installation of new traffic signal loops, fog sealing, and lane marking installation.
Project construction will occur Monday-Thursday, with no work planned on Fridays.
