Snoqualmie Police offer FREE Self Defense Course for High School Girls

Have a daughter and want her to learn some self defense techniques?  Well, here’s your chance – and it starts next week.

free women’s self-defense course is being offered by the Snoqualmie Police Department for female high school juniors and seniors over the age of 16, who live in Snoqualmie or North Bend.

The course is taught using the nationally-recognized Rape Aggression Defense System (R.A.D.), a program dedicated to teaching defensive concepts and techniques against various types of assault by using easy, effective and proven self-defense tactics.

The course also includes participation in hands-on self-defense methods, as well as instruction for crime prevention, risk reduction and avoidance.

Certified instructors, Officer Nigel Draveling, Officer Kim Stonebraker and Shelley Rowe, will teach the course. Participants must attend all four classes for a total of twelve hours. Classes will be held at Mount Si High School, 8651 Meadowbrook Way SE.

Class Dates:

  • Tuesday, March 22, 6–9PM
  • Wednesday, March 23, 6-9PM
  • Monday, March 28, 6-9PM
  • Wednesday, March 30, 6-9PM
