Now in its 75th year, Snoqualmie Railroad Days is produced by the Northwest Railway Museum, with family fun in mind.
Volunteer firemen and their wives organized the very first Railroad Days in 1938, and the popular Snoqualmie Valley event is still going strong. Promoting small town spirit, Snoqualmie Railroad Days is celebrated in and around the Snoqualmie Depot and historic downtown Snoqualmie.
The 2013 Railroad Days kicks off Friday, August 16th at 5PM and runs through Sunday evening, August 18, 2013.
Three stages will feature live entertainment and great bands. Beer and wine gardens are both offered. Add train rides, great festival food, a pancake breakfast, Railroad Days Fun Run, the Grand Parade, artisan vendors, wagon rides, model trains, the YMCA’s Kid’s Field of Fun, motor car rides, Lumberjack demonstrations, artists-in-action, the traditional classic car show – and you know it’s going to be a fun weekend.
In partnership with Waste Management, Snoqualmie Railroad Days was also awarded a grant from Keep America Beautiful to make this year the greenest Railroad Days yet. By working with vendors to find a place for all their materials and making recycling easy for visitors, unnecessary waste will be kept out of the landfill.
