In this an effort to empathize with high school and college seniors everywhere, a locally-owned business, Papersalt, just released a new book called, A Letter to the 2020 Senior Class, No Challenge is Too Big for You.
The new title is the 30th release for Seattle-based Papersalt, owned by three friends who reside in Snoqualmie, Fall City and Edmonds.
The Papersalt team has three daughters who are high school seniors this year, and are all are processing the loss of the end of their senior years. The book was inspired by and dedicated to the the girls and acknowledges the loss of the senior class of 2020, while offering positive advice for now and the future.
“We want them to know that others recognize how unfair this situation is for them. We’re all aware of the tragedy and extreme illness many are experiencing due to COVID-19 – and frontline workers are going through more than the rest of us can imagine. Still, the loss for these seniors is visceral and so personal – and we want to do our part to support them,” said a Papersalt spokesperson.
A Letter to the 2020 Senior Class notes the many things these kids will miss – prom, saying goodbye to friends, the final walk through their campus in cap and gown. It also coaches them on how they’ll be stronger and more resilient because of this experience, reminding them of milestones in the next few years that will help them turn the corner – college experiences, getting an apartment with friends, a full-time career providing their own income.
Papersalt calls this a “living book” to read often, and write in. The book contains a few blank pages for grads to make notes, or family members to write a dedication.
Papersalt creates gifts to Inspire, Empower and Educate kids and families. The company has won 17 Mom’s Choice Gold Awards and has been featured on the Today Show, CBS News New York, Evening Magazine and Seattle Refined.
