The Snoqualmie Valley Riding Club (SVRCC) isn’t exactly new. In fact, it’s been around for just over 70 years now. However, in the past few years they’ve struggled with community participation and membership. But this is all changing, as they now have the infrastructure in place to relaunch the Riding Club to its original glory. 
SVRCC is already gaining interest and participation, but board members say in order to officially reintroduce the once thriving community organization to the Snoqualmie Valley, they’re hosting a Fundraiser Fun Show.
The Fun Show will be held on Saturday, June 23rd and everyone, member or not, is invited to come out and ride. Riders of all levels and riding styles are welcome. Or, if that isn’t your thing, but want to show your support for the club, they’re looking for volunteers. Jobs can be a few hours or a whole day, depending on how much time you have. Sign up here
Registration starts at 7:30am, and then classes will begin at 9am. There will a variety of classes offered, including: showmanship, trail, Western, English, Barrels, Poles, and many more. In addition, there will be a raffle and concessions offered.
If you are an SVRC member the cost for this event is $8 per class or $35 for a ride all day pass. If you are a non-member, the cost is $10 per class or $45 for a ride all day pass. Ribbons will be awarded for 1st through 5th place and there will be a High Point Trophy awarded in each age division.

This event will also have opportunities to learn more about the benefits of membership and sign ups for those interested. For the 2018 season, membership costs $40 per person or $50 per family, and includes: access to the arena and clubhouse all year, as well as Member Only Ride Nights from 3-9pm every Wednesday between Memorial Day and Labor Day.
Being a member also gives you the opportunity to meet and socialize with other horse enthusiasts, be in-touch with local equine events, and participate in a club that is open to all riding disciplines and breeds.
If you can’t make it to this event, there will be more opportunities throughout the summer for kids to get involved with the Riding Club. They have teamed up with the Snoqualmie Valley YMCA to offer horsemanship clinics for kids ages 4 and up.
These courses are intended to introduce kids to the joys of riding and caring for horses. They will be hosting one day clinics which are intended to be introductory lessons for kids with little or no riding experience. SVRC is located on a 7-acre property (3121 415th Way SE,) with a club house, bathrooms, kitchen, and a lit outdoor riding arena just off I-90, Exit 31 in North Bend, WA.
