This is a big year for the Sno-Valley Wildcat Junior Football program – one worthy of some bragging rights. For the first time in its history, Wildcat Junior is sending three of its ten football teams to the Greater Eastside Junior Football Championships. The Snoqulamie Valley league is building on last year’s momentum when it sent one team, Rookie Red, to the championship game for the first time.
Greater Eastside Junior Football League consists of 17 different eastside leagues. Each league has a about 10 teams. Few leagues send just one team to a championship game – let alone three in the same year. This is a history-making season for the Wildcat Junior Football program. The league is divided into five age divisions ranging from rookie to varsity level.
The cubs level, 4th, 5th and 6th graders, features BOTH Junior Wildcat teams, Cubs Red and Cubs White, facing each other for the championship. The sophomores level, 5th, 6th and 7th graders, is sending its Sophomore Gray team to the championship against Bellevue’s Wolverine Blue.
Both championship games happen tomorrow, November 12th, at Cedarcrest High School, 29000 Northeast 150th Street, Duvall. The Cubs Red and Cubs White face off at 11AM and the Sophomores kick-off at 1PM.
Congratulations to the Wildcat Junior program on an amazing, history-making season! For more info please visit Wildcat Junior Football.
