The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is warning people who use SR 18 between Snoqualmie and Issaquah-Hobart to plan on using alternate routes for most of the upcoming weekend, July 19th – July 21st.
WSDOT maintenance crews will fully close SR 18 between Issaquah-Hobart Road and the I-90 interchange from 9PM Friday, July 19th, to 1PM Sunday, July 21st.
Signed detours will be in place.
According to a news releases, “The around-the-clock closure will give crews space to safely perform maintenance activities at and near the Tiger Mountain Summit.”
Crews will clear the inlets and outlets of a retention pond, repair guardrail and pave portions of the roadway that have outlived their projected lifespan.
WSDOT said drivers who use SR 18 should plan for delays on alternate routes like I-90, I-405, SR 167, and SR 900 – and add extra travel time.
