At approximately 2 pm Wednesday, October 14th Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office began a pursuit of a white vehicle on westbound I-90 at milepost 63.
Washington State Patrol Troopers became involved at milepost 47.
A PIT maneuver, a pursuit tactic by which a pursuing car can force a fleeing car to turn sideways abruptly, causing the driver to lose control and stop, was used, causing the pursuit to end at milepost 28 east of the Highway 18 exit.
The driver is now in custody, and an investigation is ongoing to discover why the male driver fled. Kittitas County will be charging the suspect.
