At approximately 12:10 pm on April 15, 2022, Washington State Patrol communications received a 9-1-1 call reporting that a gray Dodge Challenger was driving erratically on Eastbound I-90 near milepost 22.
Further reports advised that this vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed and passing on the shoulder.
The vehicle stopped in the left lane of eastbound I-90 at SR-18. The driver exited with a shotgun and a handgun in a holster and began firing the shotgun into the median.
Troopers along with Issaquah PD, Snoqualmie/North Bend PD and deputies with the King County Sheriff’s Office arrived at the scene and took the suspect into custody without incident.
No injuries were sustained, and no vehicles were struck during the firing of the shotgun. Prior to the arrest both EB and WB I-90 were closed for safety reasons until the subject was taken into custody.
